CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS AT TRINITY CENTRAL SCHOOL (SENIOR
SECTION)
‘It’s a time of joy, a time of peace, and a time when hearts
are set free.’ It is the joyous moment when, we await
the coming of the Saviour of the world, our Lord Jesus
Christ.’
Yes, the season of cheer and joy is here - Christmas. With
excitement in their hearts, enthusiastic students of Grades
5-10 made their way in the portals of the school Trinitorium
eagerly awaiting to experience the joy of Christmas.
The Christmas festivities commenced with the hymn ‘Lord, I
lift your name on high’. With Jesus’ birth, a new light
shone across the world. This glorious light was illuminated
in all its brightness as our Principal Rev. Fr. Anil D’Costa,
Pre-Primary In charge Fr. Lenson Lobo and Academic
Co-ordinator Ms Magdalena Lewis, along with the teachers lit
candles at the crib, thus ushering the augur of the
Christmas celebrations.
Students of Grade 5 danced to the merry foot-tapping tunes
of ‘’, a Telugu Christmas song. Blending old Christmas
traditions with modern Christmas jingles, the students of
Grades 9 and 10, conveyed to the gathering the true
significance of the Christmas season.
In a meaningful compilation of talents, the Students of
Grades 5-8 beautifully presented the journey that led to the
birth of Jesus - right from the Annunciation until the visit
of the three Kings. The musical skit was followed by the
age-old tradition of Carols singing. The cheerful voices of
the students rang out loud as they belted out popular
Christmas melodies in various languages.
In his message, the Principal Rev. Fr. Anil D’Costa conveyed
the importance of Christmas. He shared that Jesus’ birth
teaches us values in simplicity, humility and unity. Fr.
Anil also, conveyed his appreciation to the teachers as well
for training the students well.
The programme was led well by Ms Fiona of Grade 10 who had
compered the programme.
