EXPLORE AND LEARN WITH EXCITING EDUCATIONAL TRIPS FOR
PRIMARY STUDENTS
EDUCATIONAL TRIP FOR THE STUDENTS OF GRADE 1
Students of grade 1 were all awaiting for their turn for the
educational trip, on 3rd October 2018. The students were
accompanied by their class teachers. Students left the
school premises at 9.15 am and headed to Manipal post
office. Students saw the different types of letters and
stamps and went around the post office observing different
work units. They learnt how the post office functions
especially collecting posts from different post boxes and
distributing it to designated places.
Students then visited the Manipal police station. The Sub
Inspector welcomed the students. They took the students
around the station and explained different types of weapons
such as guns, rifles and pistols etc. They offered sweets to
the students and thanked them for the visit.
After which they visited the Christ Church Manipal, where
they were blessed by Rev. Fr. Fedrick D’Souza, Parish Priest
of Manipal Church. Thereafter they were taken to the nearby
Mannapalla Lake and Salumarada Thimmakka tree park. They
went around the park observing different kinds of trees and
medicinal plants.
They learnt the importance of trees, birds, which was
mentioned through the wall paintings and messages written on
them.
After the short lunch break they were taken to the K.M.F
Manipal. The students observed the packing process of the
milk over there. Next they were taken to Venugopal Temple
where they observed the structure of the temple, and learnt
about its rich history. Indeed the children learnt and
enjoyed the day with lot of fun and frolic.
EDUCATIONAL TRIP BY GRADE 2 FROM UDUPI TO MALPE
The students of Grade 2 were excited to go on
educational trip on 3rd October, 2018. The students were
accompanied by 4 teachers and 2 helpers. The students left
the school premises by 9:15 am and headed towards Adi Udupi
Market. Students went around the market and learnt about
different types of vendors, vegetables, fruits and pulses.
They also learnt about variety of new vegetables which they
were not familiar with.
The students were taken to Stella Maris Church Kalmady,
which is one among the famous churches in Udupi. The
students admired the beauty of the newly constructed church
and learnt about Mother Mary and Jesus.
Thereafter the students were taken to Malpe harbor where
they witnessed different types of boats and fishing nets on
their way back they visited the Malpe Police Station. The
police personnel welcomed the little ones, explained about
different types of crimes, showed different reports, their
arm room, the prison cell etc. The police also demonstrated
how the wireless walkie talkie works. At the end they
thanked the students for their visit and offered the sweets.
The trip then continued to Kadike beach. Students had their
lunch and played in a lawn at nearby home. The students also
visited the Durga Parameshwari temple at Kodi Bengre. The
students were happy to see the magnificent architecture of
the temple and wooden carvings. One of the members of the
temple explained about the famous feast observed in the
temple every year. Students played in the sand area for a
while, saw some house boats, and also collected different
sea shells and learnt how shells are used to make fine
stones and its uses thereafter. As the clouds got darker and
due to imminent heavy rains the students had rush back to
school. The students enjoyed the fun filled day and had a
wonderful learning experience.
EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO UDUPI AND SALIGRAMA
On 11th October, 2018 the students of Grade 3 along with
their teachers left the school campus at 9:15 am in the
morning. They reached Doddanagudde Nursery where Mr.Nidhish
the Horticulturist explained the use of plants for food,
comfort and beauty. They then proceeded towards the Canara
Cashew Factory at Ambagilu and learnt the different stages
in preparing the cashew nuts, where nuts are cleaned and
refined and packed.
The group of students then left for Saligrama Sanctuary and
went around the place, encountering the various animals kept
at the Sanctuary.
Thereafter the students visited Shivaram Karanth Theme Park
Kota, and then they moved to the Divine Park Karkade
Saligrama, a truly a quiet place with soothing effect to the
mind, where they preach on universal religion.
After a whole day’s visit and learning about various things
in and around, children and the teachers boarded the bus at
3:30pm and reached the school by 3:50pm.
EXCITING EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO KARKALA
The students of Grade 4 A, B, C and the teachers set out
for an educational trip on 11th October 2018.
The students left the school premises at 9:15am in the
morning and reached St. Lawrence Church, Attur at 10:45am.
After taking a walk in and around the church premises and
praying, they set for the next place of visit that is
Gomateshwar of karkalla; later they moved to Chaturmuka
Basadi. It was noon by then so all children set in their
groups with their friends and had the lunch brought from
home.
Later they moved to Koti Chennaya Theme Park, Karkala and
relaxed there. After which the students packed up their bags
to return to school and reached the campus by 3:40 pm. It
was indeed a very enjoyable day.
VISIT TO BIOLOGICAL PARK, PILIKULA
An enthusiastic band of 69 students of Grade 5 A and B
were accompanied by 2 teachers and an ancillary staff set
off for the trip from Trinity campus to the Biological Park,
Pilikula, Mangaluru on 26th October 2018.
Students left the campus at 9.30 am and reached the
destination at 11.00 am. Children were all excited to see
the different kinds of birds, reptiles, amphibian and wild
animals. Later the students had their lunch on a lawn and
had short games.
The group of students made a study of variety of flora and
fauna found in the vicinity and learnt why it is necessary
to save and protect our environment.
Students reached the campus by 4.00 pm. It was a fruitful
and a great learning experience.
