Hindi Diwas celebrated @ Trinity Central School
Language and culture of a country plays an important role. It helps in making a nation strong. Hindi is a language of love, togetherness and brotherhood.

Hindi Diwas is celebrated in India to commemorate the date 14th September 1949 on which a compromise was reached during the drafting of the Constitution of India, on the languages that were to have official status in the Republic of India.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated in Trinity Central School on 14th September with great pride and vigour, as Hindi is adopted as one of the official languages of our nation.

The program began with the choir group leading all with the melodious hymn.

Rachana and Diganth of grade 4 and Ashish and Shanaya of grade 3 recited the shayaris to accentuate the importance of Hindi language. The tiny tots of the preschool danced to the tunes of the traditional ‘Lakdi ki kaati, kaati ki gudiya’.

Further Aislin of grade 7 in her speech emphasized the unfying value of Hindi Diwas and the objective of celebrating it. Afnaz Rushda of grade 5 mesmarized the audience with her beautiful song, ‘Hindi Ho’. Loyal Passanha of grade 7 conducted a quiz to enhance the knowledge of Hindi language in the students.

A video presentation highlighting the importance of the day was played, which was symbolic of the day’s celebration.

The principal Rev. Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo greeted the students in Hindi and then delivered his message of the day. He emphasized that learning and speaking different languages is very important in one’s life. He encouraged students to learn and speak Hindi along with their mother tongue. He also told the students that it is must that one must know their mother tongue very well.

The program concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Khyathi Kotian of Grade 8 hosted the entire program.
