Sports Day – Nursery to Grade 4
Sports day brings new energy in hearts and minds of all. It
is said a sound mind resides in a sound body.
Sports and games largely help in maintaining physical
fitness. To commemorate the spirit of sports, the sports day
for grades Nursery Grade 4 was held on 18-11 2022. The tiny
tots witnessed the overwhelmed presence of the esteemed
chief guest Mr Abhin B Devadiga, an all round sports
personality who has won many gold and silver medals in
athletics.
The SPL Rayan Danny and the ASPL Deepthi escorted the chief
guest Mr. Abhin Devadiga, Principal Rev Fr Dominic Sunil
Lobo, Academic Co-ordinator Ms Magdalina Lewis, Primary
Section Head Ms Poornima Devadiga and Pre-Primary Section
Head Ms Renita Monteiro to the dais.
The choir group lead the prayer and sought the Lord’s
abundant blessings. The lamp was ignited by the dignitaries
on the dais as a symbol of spirituality and knowledge.
The chief guest declared the sports meet open by cutting the
ribbon. To symbolize the passion of the sporting spirit
Nishil, Johanna Danthi, Mohammed Abaan Shahid and Rachana
lit the torch and handed it over to the chief guest.
The sports minister Sathwik J Poojary administered the oath
as a mark of sportsmanship and fidelity, The tiny tots of KG
section performed a drill portraying discipline,
co-ordination and self-confidence.
The Principal in his address encouraged the participants and
wished them good luck.
The chief guest in his speech emphasized the importance of
sports in one's life. He motivated the tiny tots to engage
themselves in physical activities and wished them good luck
in their events.
The Principal thanked the guest and felicitated him with a
memento as a token of love and appreciation. After the
formal program, the students headed to the ground. Various
track and field events were organized for the students. The
students displayed wonderful, "sportiman spirit on the
ground.
Serafina and Ashish hosted the program. Thrishika welcomed
the gathering and Alaric delivered the vote of thanks.
It was a fun filled day for the tiny tots, leaving the
footprints of sporting spirit on them.
