ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
‘Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is
progress. Working together is success and that is what we
call as Team work’.
Under the glistening sun and the pleasant evening
breeze, the grounds and portals of Trinity Central School
welcomed one and all for the 11th Annual Day Celebrations
held on Saturday, 7th December 2019 with open arms and
joyous hearts.
At first, the chief guest of the event – Dr. Ullas Kamath
(Dean, Melaka Medical Science College, Manipal) accompanied
by Fr. Robin D’Souza – president of the function, were given
a thumping and resounding welcome to the beats of the
traditional Chande. Joining them in their august presence,
were also Fr. Claud Mascarenhas, Guardian of Trinity Vihar,
Fr. Anil Dcosta, Principal, Fr. Ravi Rajesh Serrao,
Vice–Principal and Administrator, Mr. Krishnan Sridharan PTA
President and Ms. Magdelina Lewis, Ms. Archana Shetty and
Ms. Poornima Devadiga – our Academic Co-ordinator,
Pre-Primary Section Head and Activity Co-ordinator
respectively.
The formal programme commenced with a beautifully ethereal
welcome dance performance by the students. This was followed
by the invocation of Prayer led in mellifluous melody by the
choir under the musical guidance of Fr. Jason Pais.
‘Family – where life begins’ was the accorded theme of this
year’s annual day celebrations. The chief guest along with
the other dignitaries inaugurated the annual theme, by
unveiling and opening the screen to the beautifully
constructed home, where all our families live – as one which
portrayed through puppets.
The Annual school report is a crowning glory of any annual
day event. Mrs Magdalina Lewis presented the Annual School
Report, with able eloquence detailing in depth of, and about
the school’s achievements in various Academic and
Co-curricular events / sports and other disciplines, and
also of the school’s future plans.
‘Success is the result of perseverance and perfection’.
Students who excelled in academic and sports disciplines
were awarded with Proficiency Prizes and Sports
Championships, respectively. Ms Maimuna Khairunisa of Grade
10 was awarded the ‘Best Outgoing Student Award – 2019’.
Ms Maimuna the school SPL proposed the vote of thanks, which
drew curtain to formal stage programme and commencement of
cultural events.
Talent is a gift that everyone is blessed with.
The students of Trinity put on their dancing shoes came to
the fore, with their acting skills by performing various
programmes during the Cultural fiesta of the Annual day.
Keeping in mind the Annual Theme, students of the higher
classes highlighted the importance of family, parents,
grandparents through dramatic acts in English and Kannada.
Apart from all the foot-tapping dances presented by the
kindergarten, pre-primary and primary grade students, the
real icing on the celebratory cake was the Chande dance that
was performed with great perfection, and the Final Fusion
Dance which was the proverbial cherry on the top.
Trinity Central School was honoured to have Mr. K Raghupathi
Bhat, MLA of Udupi Constituency who made a brief presence
during the cultural programme. In his brief speech, he
congratulated the school for the tremendous growth and
success that it has achieved since its foundation.
Overall, the 11th Annual Day Celebrations of Trinity Central
School was a grand success and was much appreciated by
Guests, Parents and Well-wishers.
