Grand Decennial Celebrations at Trinity Central School,
Perampally
The story of Trinity Central School Perampally, from its
humble beginning with a handful group of students to a well
known institution today, is a long journey where the
students, parents and faculty who believed in the Capuchin
fathers for their dedication and perseverance, and who in
turn achieved their ideals of empowering the young
generation through education and extended their service to
all by providing a holistic excellence.
The school which was established in 2009, created the new
landmark in the history of the Capuchin friars as it was
their first ICSE School at Udupi district having the name
Trinity Central School. The Capuchin fathers who were
committed missionaries driven by the passion to bring out
the best from the present generation through their school
ministry have come a long way since then. As a result, the
school has secured a place of joy and pride in the hearts of
the people in Udupi district on the whole.
We are glad to see the growth and progress as we have
completed 9 years and have stepped into the Decennial year
of the school’s existence. And to celebrate this success
story, grand decennial celebrations were organized on
Trinity grounds on 15th December 2018.
The chief guests of day Rt. Rev Dr Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop

Then entrance gate with a huge number 10 through which

the people that it was just the beginning of the greater
things to come. Even the stage that was decorated with a
grand Red Fort background made everyone mesmerized.
The programme commenced with invoking Triune God by a prayer
song ‘Lord God bless us, Oh Trinity bless us’ lead by the
school choir and by Traditional Welcome dance with the
fusion of different forms of dances such as Odissi, Kathak,

various cultures of our country.
As we had the Indian culture and tradition as our theme for
the celebrations, the students came in procession marching
fast to the drum beats and with tri colour flag and handed
it over to the chief guest Rt. Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo,
Bishop of Udupi Diocese who in turn placed the flag on a
rostrum, thus inaugurating the decennial celebration.
The welcome address was given by Ms .Melanie Lewis, the ASPL

School was presented by the Academic Coordinator Ms.
Magdelina Lewis through her report. Then it was time to
acknowledge the achievements of our brilliant students who
had made both the school and their parents proud, as the
prizes were awarded to outstanding achievers in various
fields.
It was also a great honour to felicitate all the priests who
had rendered their selfless service in these 10 years to the
school. Rt. Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi
Diocese felicitated all the priests. He also addressed the
August gathering with his inspiring words. Then Master Neil

Rev. Dr. Alwyn Dias, CEB Secretary, after which speaking on
the occasion encouraged the parents and the students and
thanked them for being part of Trinity family. The formal
programme came to an end with a vote of thanks from the
School Pupil Leader Master Gamaliel.
Thereafter various dances and dramas were performed as a
part of the Cultural event. The well articulated and fluent
master of ceremonies specially that of the Kindergarten
children were the highlight of day. Besides lovely
mesmerizing performances specially various dance forms from
all over the country were performed by our students thus
show casing their talents. At the end the patriotic dance
