‘A mind mapping and Hypnosis’ session by Dr Surfraz J. Hasim was organised for all the teachers of Trinity Central School, Perampalli.

A mind map involves writing down a central theme and thinking of new and related ideas which radiate out from the centre. By focusing on key ideas written down in your own words and looking for connections between them, one can set goals and achieve them.

Dr Surfraz J. Hasim is an internationally acclaimed mind trainer, psychologist, success coach, motivational speaker, hypnotherapist and master trainer & facilitator. He has undergone advanced training in various programmes such as hypnosis, mind power, counselling, neuro linguistic programming, life coaching, executive coaching, Sujok, Redikall and Pranik healing. He is currently serving as the Principal of P A First Grade College, Mangaluru. In order to train young minds, teachers and professionals he has developed a skill development and consultancy named Sadhana Academy.

A teacher not only guides students in academics or extracurricular activities, but also is responsible in shaping a child to a better human being. Dr Surfraz J. Hasim edified the teachers to understand their role in stimulating the students.

On the whole he spoke about hypnosis and our mind. He expounded that everything happens for good and our belief system plays a vital role in the concept of controlling our mind. He elucidated the three stages of mind and explicated about the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. He demonstrated different activities to the teachers to define and interpret the power of our mind. He gave a practical exhibition stating that our mind can make our body as strong as steel bridge just by following the hypnosis method. He also proved that one’s body can be as flexible as to move to 180 degrees just by controlling the mind.

Further, Dr Hasim also discoursed about the need of goal setting in one’s life. He initiated the requisite of setting SMART, S- specific, M-Measurable, A- action oriented, R-realistic, T-timely goals.

All the teaching staff was present for the session along with the principal Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta, Vice principal Rev. Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao and Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo. Ms Talia Fernandes welcomed the esteemed guest and the gathering. The session started with a short prayer. Ms Rashmi thanked Dr Surfraz J. Hasim and his team. She also expressed her gratitude to the principal in organising such a beneficial session to the teachers.

Dr Surfraz J. Hasim concluded the session by guiding the teachers to a 25 minutes hypnosis session. This helped the teachers to get extremely relaxed and be stress free. Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo along with some teachers shared their experience. The session was exceptionally beneficial to each one of them to boost their mind power.
