A session on effective methods of teaching Maths by Ms. Sudha Rao
A workshop for all the Maths and Science teachers on �Effective methods of teaching Mathematics� by Ms. Sudha Rao, Ex principal Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi was organised.

Ms. Sudha Rao a profound Mathematics teacher, said that Mathematics was used by uncivilized people too. According to her it disciplines our life, as maths problem solving also helps us to solve our problems in life in a systematic way.

She expounded practical teaching with different teaching aids. She stated that the infrastructure of the school also can be used practically and creatively to teach Mathematics to the students. She emphasised that teachers must give opportunities to the students to explore Mathematics through activity based teaching. She mainly suggested that teachers must instil love for the subject in students.

She gave different methods for effective classroom teaching. She also gave some ideas to help students remember the formulas.

Ms. Sudha Rao expressed how questioning in the class is very important, specially in Mathematics and gave certain methods to make teaching as well as learning effective.

All the Science and Mathematics teachers were present for the session. Ms Srilatha welcomed the gathering and Ms Sneha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
