Teacher Orientation Programme - Academic year 2024-2025
"A good education can change anyone. But a good teacher can change everything."
The academic year commenced with various interactive teacher orientation programs. Over the course of five days the educators were updated with various themes pertaining to education.

1. Veda Handwriting

Resource person: Dr Sreeson Gopinath, Director of Veda handwriting lab
Mr Sreeson Gopinath effectively guided and trained the teaching staff on better handwriting techniques which would help the teachers to correct and improvise the self as well as students’ handwriting. While addressing the teachers resource person stressed that "handwriting is a very important part in academics as it develops a child's personality.

2. Effective Stress Management Techniques

Resource person: Ms.Tanuja Maben, Performance coach
During the session topics like individual growth, dealing with stressful situation, understanding child psychology were discussed. Various hands-on activities were conducted to assist in understanding the topic better.

3. Enhancing Motivation and Student Engagement in Class
Date:21/05/2024
Resource person: Dr L Savitha, Educationalist and Management consultant.
The session conducted in the afternoon for the teachers laid importance on developing positive attitude towards students and how to create a good and fruitful situation in the class. The resource person also elucidated how the teacher can connect with each child in the class attracting child's interest in a particular subject using a variety of educational based activities.

4. Competency based Education and Assessment.

Resource person: Ms. Rachana Singh Educator
The resource person emphasized on the topics such as self awareness, equality and equity, brain storming etc. Basic teaching and learning skills were discussed by explaining divergent strategies to improve child's learning skills. Group activities were conducted to teachers to empower the skills.

5. Workshop on Phonetics and Grammar
Date: 23/05/2024
Resource person: Prof. Raju Victor
Prof. Raju Victor, an eminent professor of English Language stressed about pronunciation, usages of proper sounds and its application in our daily life along with understanding of the grammatical errors. He also conducted activities which would help the teachers to develop their knowledge in phonetics.

6. Twenty first century skills
Date: 24/05/2024
Resource person: Ms Vaneja Vani , Freelance counsellor, trainer.
The resource person guided the teachers about the changes in way of teaching for children who have become more curious and inquisitive. Various methods, techniques were taught to learn the skills which can shape the children’s lives for better.

Overall the five day long sessions rejuvenated and recharged the spirit of enthusiastic teachers to guide, lead and animate the young minds in the days to come
