Welcome back to the students for the academic year 2022-23
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s
end”.
Drawing the curtains to their summer vacation the
students marched to the school with enthusiasm and vigour.
With smiling faces the students trudged into the school
campus. With decorative balloons tied all over the campus
the students were welcomed to their classrooms by their
teachers.
After the hustle and bustle of their classroom and books,
the students came down to the Trinitoium for their formal
welcome. The assembly began with the prayer hymn, Here I am
Oh Lord, sung by the teachers. Dr. Poornima Devadiga,
Primary Section Head welcomed all the students to the new
academic year 2022-23.
During the program Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta , the guiding
shepherd of Trinity Central School, for the past 9 years
declared that he will step down as the Principal of the
school, as he is been transferred to Bangalore and Rev. Fr
Dominic Sunil Lobo will be the new principal. Rev. Fr Anil
Dcosta welcomed Rev. Fr Sunil Lobo and wished him all the
best.
Meanwhile, Rev Fr Lenson Lobo, the Primary section in charge
was also felicitated for his dedicated service to the school
over a year as he is been transferred to Brahmavar. Rev. Fr
Ravi Rajesh Serrao escorted Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo to the chair
of honour. Ms. Andrea Dsouza spoke about Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo
and applauded him for his tremendous efforts in uplifting
Trinity from the past one year. All the dignitaries on the
dais felicitated Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo with a shawl and a
memento. A video inclusive of all his moments in Trinity
school was played at this juncture as a token of love and
appreciation.
Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo thanked the management, staff and
students for their love and support.
The driving force of the school, the mentor, the outgoing
principal Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta was felicitated by the school
management. Rev. Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo escorted Rev. Fr Anil
Dcosta to the chair of honour.
Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta was loved by his students. He was
capable of being a child with a child and could relate to a
teenager at his/her level. He was always seen interacting
with the students. Ms. Stuthi of Grade X expressed her
emotions about her beloved principal.
Ms Magdalina Lewis, the academic co-ordinator conveyed her
gratitude towards Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta for being such an
inspiring leader and spoke about the tremendous support and
guidance given by him for the upliftment of the school.
Brother of Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta, Mr Santhosh Dcosta was
present on the dais and the other family members also were
present for the program. All the dignitaries on the dais
along with the family members honoured Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta
with a customary shawl and a memento. A video with all the
precious moments in Trinity along with the best wishes from
his loved ones was played at this juncture. A card that
carried all the wishes and sentiments of the teachers was
also presented with a photo collage.
The PTA members were also present for the program.
Co-ordination between a principal and parents play a vital
role in the smooth functioning of the school. Rev. Fr Anil
Dcosta has always been building bridges between the school
and parents. The PTA members expressed their love, respect
and gratitude towards his service and felicitated him. Mr
Krishnan Shridharan the former PTA president shared his
views and thanked Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta for his relentless
service. All the members of the PTA conferred a traditional
honour with a shawl, fruits and memento.
The success of any institution can be measured by their
alumni, for the influence of a good teacher can never be
erased. Such was the influence of Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta on the
lives of each and every student associated with Trinity. The
alumni showed their love, respect and gratitude in being
present in large numbers and honouring their beloved
principal with flowers and gifts. Mr Lancellor Arouza and Ms
Melanie Lewis representing the alumni association shared
their experiences, on how Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta made a
difference in their lives.
Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta in his address thanked all the fathers,
the teachers, staff, drivers and support staff. He also
expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the staff members
who have worked with him and have moved on to better
prospects. He spoke about his 9 glorious years at Trinity
and stated that he has given his best till his last day at
school. He cherished all the moments spent at Trinity and
assured them to be treasured.
Rev. Fr Sunil Dominic Lobo spoke to the students on this
juncture. He thanked Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta for his fruitful
service and assured the students his support for the all
round development of the school. He also sang an emotional
‘kabhie alvida na kehena......’ along with the teachers as a
tribute to the outgoing principal.
Rev. Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, the Vice principal addressed the
gathering. He specially acclaimed the service rendered by
Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo and Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta. He wished both
the priests the best in their future endeavours. He also
wished Rev. Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo all the very best.
Rev. Fr Anil Dcosta, Rev. Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, Rev. Fr
Ravi Rajesh Serrao, Rev. Fr Lenson Lobo, Ms Magdalina Lewis,
Mr Krishnan Shridharan and Mr. Santhosh Dcosta were present
on the dais. Ms. Sharon Dsouza hosted the program. The
staff, students, alumni and PTA members were present for the
program. Ms Sharon Dsouza thanked the gathering and
concluded the program.
