Vanamahotsava Day : Trinity Central school
Van Mahotsava means “Tree Festival”. This tree planting festival is observed annually, over a period of week starting from 1st July to 7th July.

To create awareness about preserving the trees and nature ‘Vanamahotsava Day’ was celebrated in the school.
The program began with the school choir leading the prayer.

The PTA president Mr. Krishna Shridharan was the chief guest of the program, Rev. Fr Sunil Dominic Lobo, the Principal presided over the program. Rev. Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, the Vice Principal and Ms Magalina Lewis, the academic co-ordinator were present.

Vihaan of grade 7 welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by planting a sapling by all the dignitaries.

Rachel Prisha Ammanna of grade 7 articulated the importance of the day. She gave a brief information about the significance of observing the Vanamahotsava Day.

The students of grade 7 emphasised the importance of saving ‘Mother Nature’. Through their street play they encouraged to keep our surroundings green and clean and to raise voice against every act of harming the Earth. Thereafter Vishisht of grade 7 presented some facts and figures concerning the nature.

The students also expressed their love towards the environment through a song.

Rev. Fr Sunil Dominic Lobo in his address interacted with the students about the importance of saving and preserving our environment. His message stressed upon Nature and biodiversity which makes life possible, provides health and social benefits and drives our economy. His message conveyed that Nature is also our best ally in tackling the climate crisis.

Manvi of grade 7 requested the gathering to take small initiative in making our planet greener, cleaner and healthier by taking a oath.

Rashel Mascarenhas proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program was hosted by Pranvi of grade 7 and was concluded with the school anthem.
