INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
-Yoga for Harmony, Health & Humanity
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through
the self, to the self." - The Bhagavad Gita
At Trinity Central School, we believe that true
education develops the intellect, the body, and the
spirit. On 22nd June 2026, International Yoga Day was
celebrated with dignity, enthusiasm, and purpose,
creating a milestone that will be cherished for years to
come.
The programme, graced by Chief Guest Ms. Sunitha, a
dedicated volunteer and instructor associated with Art
of Living Foundation, commenced with a prayer song and
the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Rev.
Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Amar
Lobo and other dignitaries, symbolizing the triumph of
knowledge and positivity over ignorance.
Hrishikesh of Grade 6 formally welcomed the gathering,
after which our Principal presented a bouquet to Ms.
Sunitha. Students spoke with clarity on the significance
of yoga in fostering discipline, mindfulness, and
emotional balance. In her address, Ms. Sunitha
encouraged all students to integrate yoga into their
daily lives for holistic well-being.
A highlight of the celebration was a graceful yoga
performance by our students. Through disciplined and
synchronised asanas, they demonstrated the profound
unity of body, mind, and soul. Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil
Lobo addressed the gathering on the relevance of yoga in
the modern world, while Araiz of Grade 6 proposed the
Vote of Thanks. The programme was skilfully compered by
Daron Cardoza of 6 and Diya of grade 8.
At Trinity Central School, we do not merely observe
International Yoga Day. We embody its values, ensuring
that yoga becomes a way of life.
